PASTOR
Jasper F. Ruiz, MAABS
Growing in the Philippines, going to church every Sunday and adhering to religious tenets were expected and customary. However, that provided me with a false sense of security. When a dramatic event in my family crushed that sense of security, it was apparent that I needed a savior. It was very clear that I was lost!Jesus saved me from a destructive spiral through His deep love for each one of us. By His grace and mercy, I received the assurance of eternal life (John 5:24; Romans 8:39-39) paid in full at the cross.
This might sound different, but my “go to” Bible verse growing up was Hebrews 11:30 “By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they had been encircled for seven days” (I warned you it is different!). The children of God encircled the walls of Jericho for seven days. On the seventh time, on the seventh day, the walls came crashing down. In the same way, I know that my God is faithful, so that all the walls trying to imprison me will all crash down!
As a student of God’s Word, it is my greatest honor and joy to be able to share its life-changing truths in every given occasion. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, and with the support of my Family, my greatest ambition is to see a population explosion in Heaven. And so my prayer be, so be it, oh Lord.

Brian Agoc
ELDER
Born and raised in the Philippines, Brian came to know the Lord when he was in early college. He realized during one of the Bible studies that he is not a follower of Jesus by just going in and out of a Church. He realized that he was lost and spiritually dead in transgression following the ways of the world, but because of God’s great love and mercy, HE made us alive (everlasting life!) in Christ Jesus (Eph. 2:1-10).
In Mt. 28:18-20 Jesus commissioned His followers to go and make disciples. Brian is thankful that somebody was used by God to rescue him and become Jesus’ follower. Brian does not want to keep this to himself and love to see more people follow Jesus and hoping the cycle would continue. Jesus said that He will be always with his followers to the very end of the age – this gives Brian the courage to keep moving on with the confidence that God is always with Him no matter what.
God has blessed Brian and his wife Bernadette with their son Jaevin and have been attending Harvest Christian Church since it’s launch in early 2023. Brian loves to cook (& eat), spending time with friends and though not a musician, Brian enjoys playing guitar. -
